Today's post is all about creating a beginner-friendly celebrity inspired look. Here, we have the beautiful Tika Sumpter rocking a pinky-nude lip and wine "flush of blush" cheeks. Under the jump, I have a list of tried and true beauty favorites along with steps that will help you pull off this look effortlessly.
Always start with a clean, moisturized (and primed) canvas.
- Since taming your brows begins the framing of your face, that's the first thing we will do. Fill in and shape brows with the Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil.
- To enhance eyes, add a pop of plum to the lids with Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio. For extra emphasis, you could add the darkest shade to your crease and a touch of the lightest shade to your browbone. Remember to blend each of these shadows to eliminate harsh lines. And for extended wear, apply primer before adding the eyeshadow to your look.
- Apply Benefit Cosmetics Bad Gal Lash to the lashes and add a bit of the Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Liquid Liner to your upper lashline. If you're like me and sometimes have trouble lining your eyes, this liquid liner's defined tip really helps to create a precise line.
- For a flawless, yet natural face, apply MAC Face and Body Foundation to your face (and neck if needed). Though this foundation is light and water-based, it does an amazing job of evening out the complexion.
- Set your foundation with MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural and apply a flush of NARS Blush in Dolce Vita on the apples of your cheeks.
- To finish up the look, add a light application of NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight to the lips.
If you want a more defined look, feel free to add a bit of highlight to the under eye areas as well as the bridge of the nose.
Now, you have a simple celebrity inspired look that could be worn everyday or for special occasions!
