No matter how many times I say I'll wear deep, dark shades of nail polish in the fall & winter months, I always go back to my tried-and-true favorite polish color- PINK! It doesn't matter the shade, either. I will go from a stunning hot pink to a muted pastel pink in no time and leave all those pretty polishes I grabbed at the drugstore sitting in my toiletry bag collecting dust. There's just something about pink that makes me feel like my nails are officially primed, polished, and pampered. And since we're on the subject of being pampered, you all know by now the ironically-named polishes from
Trust Fund Beauty make me feel like a spoiled princess when I use them.
Using any polish from
Trust Fund Beauty makes me feel like I'm giving my nails a fancy little treat when I'm applying them. This pretty pastel polish aptly named
"Where's My Money?" however, sounds like I'm letting folks know I'm not playing about my coins.
Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Where's My Money? is an opaque pink lilac shade that boasts to be flattering on all skin tones. It appears just as it does on your nails as it does in the bottle and only takes a few coats to reach the opacity that I desire.
While I've been disappointed by pastel polishes in the past for not being true to the shade in the bottle, I'm impressed with "Where's My Money?" I find that lighter polishes take so many coats to reach the opacity that I like and are a pain to dry evenly. This polish, however, goes on smooth and strong in the first application.
I didn't have to do any heavy lifting to make this polish work for me. I just filed my nails down, applied a base coat, and turned on one of my favorite shows so I sat still while polishing. One episode of
Golden Girls later, my twice-polished nails were super dry and were waiting for me to take pictures of them.
I like that this polish has a nice, glossy finish without the top coat. Sometimes I forget to add one when I'm wearing a polish that isn't matte. But since "Where's My Money?" starts to chip and lose luster after about a week or so, I will be sure to add a top coat by Wednesday or Thursday. This helps to prolong my application, should I decide to wear it longer than my usual two weeks.
