If you've been here for a while, you know I love a good, affordable lipstick. And for that reason, I keep repurchasing lippies from the NYX Cosmetics Lip Lingerie line. Lip Lingerie boasts to have a "nude for everybody" with over 20 shades between the original and the XXL line. Two of them that I just can't seem to get out of my system are my beloved Honeymoon and Beauty Mark.
I've been rocking these two for years and can always seem to find a replacement when I run out from virtually any big box store or drugstore. So, as long as these stores continue to feed my habit for the low, I'll continue to slather my lips with their product. Check out how they look on the pucker below.
NYX Lip Lingerie in Honeymoon
Honeymoon is a "grey-toned beige" shade. And while I definitely see the grey-tone of the lipstick, sometimes it pulls off more brown. Most of the time, I wear this lipstick alone with no balm or liner, like I have pictured below. But when I feel like the color washes out my complexion, I'll line my lips with NYX lip liner in Espresso after it dries.

Our good sis Beauty Mark leans more to the chocolate brown side of things. I never wear any liner with this lipstick, as she is perfect right by herself! Whenever I'm in the mood for a matte chocolate lippie, she is almost always my top choice.
Lip Lingerie's identifying factor is it's a plush matte lipstick, meaning it applies creamy, but dries down to a matte finish. Each tube is formulated with Vitamin E, with claims to keep your lips feeling soft while wearing them.
Both Honeymoon and Beauty Mark last through all your meals, after hour drinks, and dinner dates. Trust me, I've tried them through everything and they have yet to fail me. These lippies will hold you down through it ALL, honey. And the fact that they're literally transfer-proof really seals the deal for me.
Now if you aren't a fan of matte lipsticks, this lippie is not gonna be for you. Some may say that these lippies are drying, but I find them comfortable. One thing I like about mattes, which I love about the Lip Lingerie formula, is that the color payoff is great and it is so long-lasting!
